Laser welding is also an extremely accurate and precise welding process which is not repeatable by traditional welding methods. Often completing tasks well beyond the capabilities of traditional arc welding. This valuable process protects the customers tooling investment and reduces downtime.

This service ensures minimum down time for your tools and provides accurate modifications/repairs. ADM run a a Rofin Baasel Lasertech which with its XYZ table moves work-pieces with a maximum weight of 500kg fast and precisely in all three dimensions.

Why Laser Welding is a superior service to traditional welding

High Strength Welds

The laser weld is narrow with an excellent depth-to-width ratio and higher strength. Welding is conducted by firing a series of short pulses that melt the metal to create a high-quality weld.

Precision Components

The small, tightly controlled laser beam permits accurate micro-welding of miniature components. Lasers are excellent for welding fine and delicate metal components and generating minimal internal stresses due to the minimal heat input.

Metal Finishes

Lasers successfully weld carbon steel, high strength steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminium, and precious metals as well as dissimilar materials all with no physical contact between the material and the laser head.

Heat Management

The heat affected zone is limited, and due to rapid cooling, the surrounding material is not annealed. This is especially effective when the components are sensitive to the effect of excessive heat input or susceptible to distortion.


Laser welding finishes are extremely neat, with controllable low volumes of scrap. All managed as no contact is required between the material and the laser welding head, this also means welding is possible in otherwise inaccessible areas.

Single Sided Access

Spot welding can entirely be replaced as laser welding only requires access from one side. Especially valuable when welding larger tooling components.

Our core service is providing outstanding and highly accurate plastic mould tooling. Whether a realised idea, or reproducing an existing design, our team have the skillset to produce moulds suitable for a variety of applications.


We are regularly required to go above and beyond a ‘standard’ mould tool, producing over-mould and co-extrusion designs with ease. Working from CAD files and putting every eventually through vigorous testing results in some of the finest tooling in the industry.
